Bed and Breakfast 4 QUARTI is located in an old palace belonging to a noble sicilian family the Arone di Valentino. It was built at the end of XVII century on the foundations of a Medieval palace in the heart of the historic Kassaro area, a few minutes walk from the Norman Cathedral, the Royal Palace several Arab - Norman monuments and enchanting baroque church. In 1769 the palace housed the Circolo di Conversazione della Nobiltà (An exclusive club where aristocrats used to discuss various matters) mentioned by an outstanding sicilian historian the Marquese di Villabianca, for its beautifully decorated rooms. After the marriage of Francesco Arone Barone di Valentino and Donna Marianna Lanza Filangeri dei Principi di Mirto the palace reached its maximum splendour. You can still admire the wooden coffered ceilings painted with flowers and landscapes, and the rooms with fine Biblical frescoes. With the passing centuries, the Arone family has always considered the palace a precious example of artistic beauty and charm.
