| Not only for the name, but also for the long features of ancient cerchia the building, where the four characteristic doors are opened, Torrita sure introduces like the evolution urban planning of a fortified Castle. The testimonies of its past pregevoli and are reassumed, in practical, in the public square, where we find the buildings main: the Communal palace, the Tower and the Church of the Saints Flora and Lucilla - late Romanesque - with to the inside precious works of Senese School. On the same public square the Theatre of Dark (the XVIII sec. always shows oneself also). Place on the watershed between the Val di Chiana and the Val d' Orcia, the fortified small village of Montefollonico conserve good part of walls medieval. Interesting is the pieve Romanesque of Saint Leonardo, from the characteristic shape to hut; to the inside two the ' 500 are conserved sculptures of and a miniato chorale of the ' 300. |
