| Vagliagli, ancient village of XIII the century, is situated to 511 meters of altitude, along the provincial road that leads to Radda in Chianti. The first citation of the village of Vagliagli laughed them to 1226 and regards the church of Saint Cristoforo of Romanesque origin of which it remains trace in the bell tower from the classic lines. To side of the church the rests of a building in filaretto of alberese (a type of argillaceous limestone of color can be caught a glimpse gray or giallognolo) with traces of the portale to acute arc. Situated to the center of a splendid one conca from which the immensest one is enjoyed seen, Vagliagli is one of the localities more attended from the chiantigiani tourists for the beauty of the village and the magnificent landscaped position. To fine september, every year, the inhabitants of Vagliagli organize the Festivity of the Grape in order to celebrate the grape harvest. |
