The Castle of Lamole is an ideal base to visit the most important Tuscan art cities, the Chianti places full with art and culture and the towns famous for their wines. Medieval suburbs, castles, churches, abbeys, monasteries, cottages and villas follow one another gently laid down on the hills. The alternation of vineyards on the one side and olive yards and woods on the other, produces an harmony unique in the world.
The Castle of Lamole lies on a dominant position, 600 ms altitude, and emerges on its rock spur between two small valleys where two spring branches of the river Greve, flowing in the close valley having the same name, originates. The Castle of Lamole is one of the last Florentine rural area defences you meet when entering northwards to the Valdarno territory across the Mount San Michele (892 s.l.m.), and eastwards in the Radda region and then, to the Senese territory. Therefore its position overlooks the Chianti hills at the sluice of the high Greve valley and is nowadays surrounded by the Chianti Classico ineyards, by the olive, chestnut and oak trees. Then you arrive here your heart and spirit calm down, plunged in the surrounding hills' uncontaminated nature.
